Superb mission carrried out with our partner HYTECH IMAGING last week-end with a take-off from the beautiful island of BELLE-ILE EN MER, where the future South Brittany offshore windfarm field (the so-called #AO5), will be build.
As part of the development of SOLAR STORM, supported by the French Office for Biodiversity OFB, SolarXOne was deployed to take high resolution imagery offshore, over a large area.
The images are used by HYTECH IMAGING to detect, identify, and map marine megafauna and avifauna over the area.
Assessing on a regular basis the impact of offshore windfarms on maritime wildlife is a must, which is currently done by inhabited thermal engines aircrafts.
SOLAR STORM SERVICES, that will provided by HYTECH IMAGING in collaboration with Xsun will allow CO2 free / noise free aerial data acquisition.
